Introduction

High and constantly increasing demands on building material quality
as well as the necessity to exploit contaminated gravel and sand
deposits call for high standards with regard to the operation of
up-to-date processing plants. The processing of natural building
material according to DIN 4226 part 1, 2 und ZTV - K 88 (BMV
B5218) requires - apart from classification - the removal of clay
from the feed material, the separation of fine sands, if required,
as well as the removal of low-gravity materials and materials
capable of swelling.

For such duties, aqua vibrating separators, originally built by
IBAG and developed by TKF, offer a cheap and efficient solution.


Fields of application and characteristics

Aqua vibrating separators patented by ThyssenKrupp Förder-
technik are used in the sands and gravel industry as well as in
the recycling industry for an efficient and economic wet pro-
cessing of sand, gravel and other mixed materials.

Aqua vibrating separators remove low-gravity materials, for
example, wood, coal, plastics and plant particles from feed mat-
erials like sand, gravel and other mixed materials. The quantity
of separated fine sand can be adjusted and, if necessary, re-
duced to a minimum.

Aqua vibrating separators are designed to combine the different
processing steps cleaning, classification and dewatering
in one single compact and reliable machine.


Design

Two models of the aqua vibrating separator are available from
ThyssenKrupp Fördertechnik. The aqua vibrating separator
type ASS offers an economic and reliable concept for the clean-
ing and dewatering of fine-grained feed materials like sand with
the possibility of adjusting the quantity of separated fines.

The aqua vibrating separator type ASK is used for the clean-
ing and classification of coarse-grained feed materials such as
gravel.
