To dissipate the grinding heat, it may be reuired to inject water into
the grinding chambers. The most effective method is the injection
into the fine grinding chamber.
ThyssenKrupp Fördertechnik offer the following injection
systems:
via the trunnions
via the trunnion and the intermediate diaphragm into the
fine grinding chamber
via the discharge diaphragm for mills with central drive
In the case of the injection system for mills with central drive, the
controllable pump and the atomising air blower are arranged on
the mill drive shaft and are following its rotation. The current supply
is inductive or realised via the slip rings. The water is fed to the
pump without pressure via a double-chamber system enclosing
the drive shaft.
